“Feeling summertime sadness? Seasonal affective disorder is not just a winter thing.”

“Are you polychronic or monochronic? Struggling to manage your time could be due to your ‘time personality.’”

  ‘TIME PERSONALITY’ NOW?

  WTF?!!

Yesterday I wrote about the ‘complexity cages’ we construct for ourselves and then took a glance at the CBC morning news.

Now there’s ’seasonal affective disorder’ and whether or not we are ‘polychronic’ or ‘monochronic’ to contend with.

Whatever. I didn’t read the articles.

But I did think: “we do it to ourselves.”

  Why?

Because the schooling we’ve paid so much for and that has filled our heads with a mountainous hodgepodge of ideas has to be justified. Salaries need be earned and careers fashioned.

If that means coining new terms in order to stand out in a crowded field of intelligence than so be it.

But to me it is just atomized hyper-intellectual ‘individuals’ imprisoned in complexity cages chattering feverishly to one another.

For the moment simplicity and escape from their cages is beyond them.

Though never really further away than their own hearts.

If they can find the courage and time to pay heed that is.

The choice as always is our’s.
