I love the sweet innocence of children peering wide eyed out upon their expanding little world from strollers pushed by their mothers. And I love and marvel at them later when they bomb around on those tiny pedalless bikes that cannot help but foster a lifelong devotion to two wheels in their hearts. 

  Innocence and simplicity. 

  It isn’t long though before we are marched off to school to ‘learn’ about the world and the way it functions. 

  From then on everything changes. 

  Later we look back upon those magical unrecapturable years of innocence and simplicity with nostalgia, yearning, and even a touch of bitterness. 

  “What happened?” we ask ourselves during idle moments between bouts of Netflix or binges on FaceBook. 

  Well, the Omphalos Cafe is here to tell you that a few of us succeed in reconnecting with the innocence and simplicity of childhood. Sure, it’s broader, more encompassing, but that doesn’t make it any less pure and joyous. The wonder and sense of Life’s boundless mystery is rekindled in our hearts and every day is filled with the rich potential of new discoveries.
