Sometimes I look back on my day’s work and say: “damn, that’s good!” Yesterday was one of those days.

The photo, albeit not the first time I had used it, summed up nicely the gist of my message. I wrote about knowing and experiencing ‘enlightenment’ by attuning and indeed reintegrating ourselves into the Eternal Flow of Life.

Heavy stuff, but the photo added just the right touch of humour if I do say so myself. The image used was of me taken off the coast of Nazare, Portugal, riding some of the biggest surf on the planet, in sandals, cargo pants and a dry ill-fitting T-shirt no less!

Call it lightly heavy, or weightily buoyant if you will. Both oxymorons that point beyond the pair of opposites to a deeper, richer Truth.

But the thing about committing to this blogging thing on a daily basis is that no matter how profound, how reality plumbing yesterday’s post was, today is another day and while I sit here and the minutes tick by and the green tea at my elbow cools I know my loyal readership is sitting at home anxiously refreshing their Omphalos Cafe page for the morning’s update!

It’s relentless and it’s important not to get caught up in all the attention and hype.

Thoughts such as “how can I possibly top that?” or “I’m burying yesterday’s gold under today’s mud!” need be strenuously avoided.

  It’s not easy

  But that’s Life, ain’t it?

We do our level best given who we are and where were at…

  And then move on…

Striving to be better, more humanly compassionate and loving…

  With each passing day….
