I took this photo in the gardens out front of the Tokyo National Museum.

There are times I have something written, usually prompted by a quote that caught my fancy, and then at the last minute I end up thinking: “too many words!” and then scramble for something else to post.

This is one of those times.

I had something grandly historic, a vast sweeping reevaluation of our perspective of history, how we Westerners have gotten it wrong and what that means for us moving forward.

It was an overly ambitious summary of where we are in the world today.

But then I got to thinking: “give your head a shake, Jeffy-Boy, nobody reads this shite, nobody gives a damn!”

And the thing is I don’t even say this sort of thing in disappointment or despair. I write it with a smile on my face and complete equanimity in fact.

That’s because to me Life is wonderful just the way it is, challenges and all, regardless of whether or not my song or my particular point of view is acknowledged.

How liberating it is not to feel obliged to be heard, to be acknowledged, to have my outlook listened to and validated!

No one cares and Life Flows on as it always has…

  That’s pure Zen…
