Dawn of a civilization….
Sunset of a civilization….

Life is simpler than we’ve made it out to be in our modern citified confusion.

  Let me explain.

Picture the symbols of the female and the male. The female is a ring with a downward cross, which in mythology represents a portal. The ring is the deeply experienced Centre of Life for women—the womb. And the cross is the portal from which all Life emerges and to which Life must return (and how fraught has that become today!) in order for the Great Passing Through, the Flow of Life, to continue.

Now let’s consider the male. His symbol is a ring with an upward slanting arrow. However, what is profoundly misunderstood and overlooked today with all of our Western secularized one-size-fits-all genderless educational system is that for us males the circle in our circle-and-arrow symbol DOES NOT represent a deeply experienced Centre.

For man is all will, desire, action, movement—in short, he is the arrow.

And the arrow has no innate intrinsic Centre!

From ancient pre-historic times the Shaman and then Priestly function of mythology, ritual, ceremony and custom was an orienting of the arrow, of the male energy, into coordinated accord with the wider community at large and woman within the community. That is to say the Shaman Type ritual and ceremonially based belief system brought men into membership in the community and hence relationship with the true centre of Life as represented by woman and the womb.

Today in the West all that is gone. There are few to no functioning rituals and no underlying vital belief systems to either orient the male energies towards creativity and community nor a truly masculine connection with woman. And sadly, no amount of talk or manosphere discussion will fix this absence of profound ritualistic experiential channelling of the male energies.

As a result, our Western communities are in the process of disintegration, which is another way of saying that the male energies are flying loose from any functioning mytho-poetic coordinating system.

Beware errant arrows! And beware those who would enlist young impressionable bowmen in their selfish causes!
