The Cafe’s been closed for over a year now. However, yesterday I renewed my omphaloscafe.com domain for another year so I guess it is time to throw open the doors once more!

You see, wherever I go and whatever I am up to (even while walking with sheep) I can never escape the responsibility—and I do experience it as a responsibility—to share with others what I have learned over the forty years I’ve been diligently following a wide ranging course of self-education.

“If not me, who else is there?” I ask myself. Who has done the reading, history, philosophy, religion, art and mythology, the classics written by Giants, the sciences, biology, anthropology and Life, pondered them, collated them with his own clumsy fumbling burgeoning experience, and finally integrated them into a coherent and consistent living vital world view?

“Who else?” I ask, and as much as I look around I see no one.

Therefore the time has come to open the doors to the Cafe again. To speak of the challenges we face and the adventure and joy of facing them!
