The simple pleasures. The simple Life.
We get lost in the compelling vagaries of politics and social issues when the simple unadorned Life puts everything neatly back into perspective.
I have read widely and follow current affairs as much as the next person. More I’d even say, because I do not own a television. But I like nothing better than to walk outside taking in the street or the park, breathing in the fresh air and watching children play in all their innocent energetic joy. A dog strains at a leash yapping madly and a squirrel tears up a tree in fright. A toddler splashes through a puddle in unrestrained delight.
I carry a camera around with me to capture those moments, with rare success. Nevertheless I remain smilingly undaunted.
‘Signs of Life’ I call these sparkling moments. They are all around us, if only we open our eyes and clear our minds enough to let them in!
